Well, did you read all about installing the XM Radio on your bike?  Well, of course things change and I find that I am already re-designing the system.  My thought is to hide everything in the tank bag and therefore make it portable on and off of the bike which lessens the risk of theft or damage by the elements.

Here are some photos that might inspire you...or not!

Lay out your equipment - in this case, my XM Radio, my communications gear, my Mix-It, a fuse panel and a filter.  Outfit the equipment into some sort of a box that will fit inside of your existing tank bag.  In my case, the bag for the Beemer is pretty good size.

Then, using connectors Powerlet Connectors connector, bring power into the bag and power to the fuse panel and then to the various equipment inside.

You'll also need a fuse panel if you're going to be connecting a lot of "gadgets" on your bike.

I used the CENTECH panel found here

AP-1

and for communications on the bike, I selected the Starcom1 available at:

It all works great!
